Killer Storms in Kansas, Missouri, and Tennessee Sunday Night
May 4, 2003
Many people are dead and some people are
still missing. My town I live in ( Carl Junction, Mo. ) was
severely hit. All roads leading into the town have been closed
off within two hours of the three tornados that went through
downtown Carl Junction. My wife told me that a man she works
with at Wal-Mart told her his house was ok, but the house across
the street from him was totally destroyed. We hear other stories
from different ones about their families. Two hours after the 3
Tornados hit and people learned that they had hit Carl Junction
, the streets were jammed with cars from everywhere trying to
get into Carl Junction to check on their loved ones and friends.
My home is 2 or 3 miles from where the
Three Tornados passed through. My wife and daughter ( California
Stole her three daughters ) and myself stood on the back deck
facing the west where the storm was approaching. We prayed and
spoke peace to the storm. The severity of the storm coming
toward us immediately begin to ease. and We prayed for the
safety of other people too. My Youngest Son and his Wife and
Kids were here having a giant fish fry with us, his 5 year old
daughter was crying and frightened. I told her that this is when
we must trust Jesus at times like this, She can't hardly wait to
go to Sunday School she loves it so much. My 5 year old
granddaughter is one of twelve grandchildren God has blessed me
with, and that includes the three the State of California has
stolen from me and my family, may God have mercy on the State of
California.
We have received several calls to see that
we are ok, thank you for your concern. My Oldest Son sent me an
e-mail I received today describing part of what he is
experiencing. I believe his words can describe it best.
Just thought I would drop
you a note and let you know I'm in Pierce City doing emergency
duty. A lot of the guys in my company had thier homes destroyed
in the tornado. That was one of our Armories that was destroyed
also. Another guy in my company was on the phone with his wife
when the tornado hit last night. She was killed. I was
standing right there when it all happened. We are supposed to
be here until thursday, then we will go back to Ft. Wood
James
My oldest Son James has been activated here
in Missouri to go to Iraq. I think they are scheduled to leave
this month of May for a 6 to 12 month stay. Our troops are
leaving for Iraq and many of them just seen their homes
destroyed before they go, Very Sad.
We send our Love and Prayers to everybody that has
suffered in this.
