U.S. presses U.N. on Iraq ‘breach’

Dec. 20 —   The Bush administration, concluding that Saddam Hussein is not serious about disarmament, is moving to try to convince the U.N. Security Council that it should declare Iraq in violation of U.N. demands and authorize military action. U.N. arms inspectors, meanwhile, criticized the United States and its ally Britain for not sharing vital information on Iraq’s suspected weapons programs.
