Dr. D. James Kennedy's Statement Regarding the Ruling Against Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore

Dr. D. James Kennedy, president of Coral Ridge Ministries, released this statement in response to a federal district court ruling against Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore that requires him to remove a monument bearing the Ten Commandments and other historical documents from the state Judicial Building.

“On the closing day of the trial, U.S. District Judge Myron Thompson said that he would begin his opinion with the question, ‘Can the state acknowledge God?’ While his opinion did not open with that question, it was answered in the deeply disappointing and troubling ruling ordering Chief Justice Roy Moore to remove the monument to the moral and historical foundation of law from the Alabama Judicial Building.
