The Musical Fruit
A Couple of days ago I sat down to a grass roots meal, I
guess one of our founding fathers meals. It's the food that's
the very roots of American food, especially for those of us
connected to Oklahoma and Arkansas. I don't believe Americans
will ever be able to replace moms good old home cooking. When I
was about to sit down to a large plate of Beans and Corn Bread,
with Fried Potatoes, and topped off with some Raw Onions on the
side with a large glass of milk. I don't think American food can
get any closer to American food at it's grass roots than that. I
don't care if your a Democrat or a Republican. Just bow your
head and thank Jehovah for his blessing before you pig out.
Just as I got my plate ready to chow down, one of my
daughter-in-laws said; eating some Musical Fruit huh. My wife
and others made some comments before I was able to respond. I
replied and said; What did you say? She repeated her statement
again and said haven't you ever heard that? I answered with
never in my life. She quoted the little verse she had quoted
from. I couldn't help but laugh at such a cute verse the younger
generation has come up with for humor.
It's not a surprise others of my generation hadn't heard
it either. Our younger generations are going to use the older
generations as stepping stones to climb even higher. We must be
sure to leave the Younger Americans a sure foundation to stand
on.

"The Musical Fruit"
Beans, Beans the musical
fruit.
The more you eat the more you toot.
The more you toot the better you feel.
So lets have beans for every meal.
