Archeologists uncover replica of Second Temple

According to [Flavius Josephus], Sanballat, Nikaso's father and the leader of the Samaritans, promised to build Menashe an exact replica of the Temple and make him its chief priest.

The find could provide the first historical indication of what the Temple, destroyed by the Romans in 70 CE, looked like. It itself was a reconstruction of the Temple built by King Solomon in 960 BCE
